Well i just returned from my homeland up in Northwestern Ontario, unfortunately my visit home was for the purpose of burying my sister who was a great person and sister to me. In any case, I was thrilled to be able to visit old friends and especially speak in my native tongue, i had so much fun talking and sharing with my friends and relatives that i was sad to leave in such a short time there. I realized that our language is so important and that we cannot afford to lose such a great and sacred language, speaking and sharing was so much more meaningful that its so difficult to describe. I just wanted to mention that this co hort has enhanced my desire to save the language, not only for my people, but for all Native Americans.

I am happy that this trip, however difficult, was renewing for your language and your relationships at home :)
